SUMMARY
The Infrastructure Security Architect is responsible for ensuring the secure design, implementation and operation of all components of the Company Infrastructure. The Infrastructure Security Architect is also responsible for the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of all information security architectures that support US Government Classified Research and as such must hold a US Government Security Clearance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Infrastructure Security Architect will report to the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for:
Reviewing the design of all Company infrastructure and application architectures in order to eliminate intellectual property loss and systems availability risks.
Implementing and overseeing a program to monitor all key business assets in cooperation with Corporate.
Reviewing and approving all proposed changes to the Company Infrastructure to maintain and/or improve the infrastructure security.
Be responsible for the Security Certification and Accreditation for all information systems supporting US Government Classified work conducted at the NY location
Provide Change Management signoff for all new infrastructure and application architecture projects.
Set infrastructure design standards in order to assist System Architects and Principal Technologists in implementing secure architectures.
Conduct and/or support internal assessments and third party audits of computing infrastructures.
Work with the Chief Information Security Officer and Information Security team to identify and implement appropriate information security controls
COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES
Bachelors degree with at least 3 years experience in an information security or systems architect role.
Working knowledge of NISPOM Chapter 8
Proven expertise in designing or approving the design of complex infrastructure and application architecture implementations.
Due to the nature of the work done at this organization this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Secret Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.
Desired Characteristics
Working knowledge of COBIT or similar Information Governance Frameworks.
Experience working in a global, cross matrix organization.
Experience implementing or overseeing the adherence to NISPOM Chapter 8
CISSP or CISM Certification
Six Sigma Greenbelt certification
Proven experience accelerating change.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of IT Staff located in multiple sites, including proven effectiveness working with global teams
