  • New gizmo in law enforcement

I was looking for a scanner that shows the sending juristicion as opposed to the frequency and came across this little ditty. Not long ago I also saw this on a new TV show called Parking Wars and was fascinated at how fast the officer was able to type the info and retrieve the info back on each vehicle. When in fact she didn't have to type at all. The end of the video claims that this will be everywhere soon. Looks like bad news for the bad guys!! Also claims it will be a boon to the war on terrorism.

very cool, yeah I've seen this on "Road Wars" (the UK version of COPS) and "Parking Wars" I think it's a great idea and will help greatly. I love the comments people are posting claiming it is invading their privacy. Don't do anything wrong and there is nothing to worry about!

The only problem I could see with that is people would start complaining about the increase in cost when plates are renewed. People will always find a reason to fight change lol.

About 15 years ago my state quit using front plates cause the brainiacts in power convinced the people that they would save a bundle in taxes if they did away with it. The police didn't like it because oncoming perps would have it easier to get past a cruiser undetected. Then the same folks at the state house purchased tons of expensive laser speed guns.

The cops were complaining that due to the composite front ends and aerodynamics on the Corvettes the beam would not reflect back to the gun. What a surprise the same folks came up with a new math and sure enough I and many others had to replace or cool logo fillers with crappy metal plates that will reflect the beam back.
