If you are looking for a cheap good IP Camera, you can check out my website. It has reviews on IP Cameras. The site is www.networkcamerareviews.com.

Just as N. A. Corbier, you can record to your local PC. I prefer remote recording if possible. That way when they break in and steal your PC they also didn't steal the evidence .

You can actually get an IP Camera for just a bit over $100.

Also, check out venders like Super Circuits- http://www.supercircuits.com/ . I've dealt with them before and have been pleased with thier service. They carry several models of IP camers.

you see, the problem with ip solution is that the camera itself does not store any video clip.
Not to argue with you, but neither do analog cameras. Analog cameras transmit the video to the DVR, NVR or time-lapse.

Anyone can help me to suggest any good IP camera for office buildings, hotel, apartment, etc. who are not so expensive. Just a general product, because i lived in Indonesia.
There are many IP camera solutions on the market today. I guess you would have to determine what "not expensive" means.

For really simple and off the self solution, try Logictech webcams or other similar webcam products.

For just under a $1,000.00 www.iqeye.com has the 501i, for just over a $1,000.00 there are Axis, Sony and a bunch of others. Tells us a little bit more of the requirement and I'm sure there is a solution.

    Hope that helps.

As I said before, IP cameras do not require to be hooked up to the Internet, only a Local Area Network using TCP/IP over RJ-45 Ethernet.

People who plug an IP camera into the public internet are LOOKING for it to be hijacked and manipulated by advisarial forces, bored kids, or watchers.

Most brands of IP cameras can easily be found via Google, using specific search strings. AXIS, Panasonic, Toshiba... They can all be found via Google. Reference: Google Hacking, Johnny Long, O'Reilly Press. http://johnny.ihackstuff.com/
