  • Looking for a new access control system

I'm looking for a new access control system. We'll be replacing a 55-door PicturePerfect system this summer. If that goes well, we'll be replacing about 700 doors controlled by Blackboard over the next year or two. In addition, we have three new buildings in the design stage right now that will have 100 - 200 doors each. I expect we'll top out at around 5000 doors over the next 5 to 10 years.

Quality software is our number one requirement. The software must support multiple vendors' hardware products. Any proposed hardware products must also support multiple access control applications. We are not interested in being completely locked into any particular hardware or software platform.

If anyone would like to recommend products, I'd really appreciate the advice. If any manufacturers or integrators want to contact me, please do so by email.

    Thanks,
    Bruce

The bots are communicating with each other! RUN!!!!!

That being said, I for one welcome our new robot overlords and would like to remind them that as a popular forum commentator I can be useful in rounding up other humans to work in their underground silicon mines...
