Pros: FLETC will be providing free training.
Cons (From the website): FLETC training is for sworn law enforcement officers only.

There are no training opportunities listed for security personnel or management, so its another vendor show. This is one of the things I liked about Midwest Security and Police Expo, the training was open to security and law enforcement alike.

If you're a manufacturer, services provider, or vendor of a product marketed to police or security, the price is right, though. Only 5k gets you a booth for the show.

True, FLETC will only train sworn officers (due to Homeland Security regs.) but I will be offering one or two seminars concerning executive/colse protection details. I don't discriminate. More classes and seminars are being arranged.

By the way, a 10' X 10' booth only costs about $1400 bucks, not 5K. Sponsorship is another matter altogether.

By the way, we are trying to make this Expo as security friendly and inclusive as possible. If you are in the security industry, at any level, we welcome your participation.

Also, we are setting up a "Meet the Authors" day. If you have written a book on law enforcement or security related topics, we would like to offer you an opportunity to sell and sign your work. Contact me for additional information.
