No, Gillette Stadium was originally CMGI Field, but CMGI went bankrupt while it was being built. Gillette Company (you know... the best a man can get...) bought out the sponsorship (even tho Gillette was later bought themselves by... ummm... either Proctor & Gamble or General Mills, I don't recall which. P&G, I think).

The New York Giants, did not win, the Patriots showed up in Phoenix with the intent on losing
It will be many many years before New England plays again in the Super Bowl.
Good bye offensive line. They are a bunch old men. protecting Brady.
I can remember years in the 1980s when the Patsies had a dismal record of 2 wins and 14 loses
15,000 in attendance.Last edited by copelandamuffy; 02-05-2008, 05:52 PM.

Ironically, my best friend and I were watching it with the sound cranked up (he has a theatre room) and he was so sure of his win, he bet me double that the Giants had no chance 2 minutes out and then was punching the chair realising he was caught out being over confident.
Even in our football, the game is no over until the last tackle is called and we have had games where the siren goes and the ball is still alive only for someone to score and the whole game is considered a game of the decade.

My pick, and I only work a 1/2 mile from Gillette Stadium, home of the Pats.

I'll get my bottle of Gorilla Glue out and perform a steering wheel appendectomy/transplant on one of my model cars. BTW - I picked the Browns.

Curtis - when can I expect deliver ? I did not see a large lady on the stage when the Patriots had it sewn up. In 1997 my football team here was in the 79th minute of the 80 minute grandfinal game (non of this stop-start BS) and they let a bloke run the 100 metres to score a try (like a touchdown) and they of course lost. I again did not see a large lady taking to the stage when this happened .......... but again you need to play until the ref's blows the whistle or the umpire calls game.
Bloody gutsy effort but we need biff ................. more biffo and those beer barrel blokes (as we broke a slab in the 4 hours and broke #2 open open for me to get a bloody interview phone call for a new job as I was with a bladder full).

I say a 4 point margin via Giants - I have seen the future and have the lottery numbers for next week.
Gillette Stadium - do you get a free shave with every beer ?
Those beer blokes would be mugged here at 1 of our sporting match which don't need any encouragement for idiots in the stands.

I am very confident in this prediction, based on exhaustive statistical analysis of the teams, the forecasted weather conditions and position-by-position matchups. I paid a private bookmaker an enormous sum for this, but I'll give it to you for free:
Denver Broncos - 0
Winnipeg Blue Bombers - 0
There is even some question whether either team will show up for the game (if not, advertisers vow to fill up the 4 hours of TV time anyway, interspersed with old Howard Cosell interviews). Either way, this will be the first SB ever to end in a tie. Remember, you heard it here first.Last edited by SecTrainer; 01-31-2008, 07:09 AM.

I'm rooting for the Browns.
