My wife and I, along with my Mom and my sister and her husband went out
to very upscale resturant in a very affluent suburb outside of Boston.
Anyone who lives in the Boston area and knows the town of Hingham
knows the kind of money in this town. Homes are worth $800,000 and plus.
SUV automoblies ain't Hyundais. more like Mercedes and Lexus

In the parking lot, of the resturant same scene. Autos were Volvos, Lexus,
one Bentley, Mecdes, and yes one Nissan with 134,000 miles on the odometer. Said owner was told by the parking lot valet to park down near the septic system. I beleive the dolt did not how to drive a manual shift car

We also laughed at the patrons at the bar. Apparently from what we can gather, the Restaurant is the place
to be if you want to pick someone up and go home and play checkers. Having done the bar scene 30 years ago, I have not
forgotten the "act or play" You do all you can to impress the brunette your talking to, to take her home and discuss the world finacial markets.
And same brunette comes to said bar in dressed very sensuous. She too
is playing the game, with hope to rope the best looking dude and take him
home and watch reruns of M.A.S.H.

My wife and I of 26 years very happy years chuckled on the way home how much bull sh*t was being slung
at the bar by both females and males. Again same "act and play" just different actors and actresses.

Thank Goodness the dating scene is in the past.

Hard to believe they'd hire a valet that couldn't drive a stick. I've never seen a valet give any indication he didn't like a certain kind car. And they shouldn't. Even if you are inclined to defer to the wealthy you can't assume that person in the old car isn't wealthy. Many wealthy people got and stay that way by not splurging on luxury items.

I have heard that the percentage of new cars sold, only 10% are manual shift.

About a year ago in Boston a woman was stopped at an intesection. Two thugs attempted to car-jack her car. Problem was that neither of these clowns could drive a stick shift car.

The number of people who cannot drive manual is incredible and those clowns who THINK they can drive a manual make me wonder how they got through their tests. If you sit for your exam in an auto - you get an auto only licence but can drive with someone who is fully licenced as your escort.

Blowing the engine on my car one night, I urgently needed a replacement car for work and for a weekend trip. Hiring a car would have been an option till I found a cheap car advertised online. It was a manual so had few lookers and I was just happy to get mobile again. 8 months later, I found it hard to sell as no1 wanted a manual except for a neighbour's nephew who needed it to pass his driving test.

I have been with my wife to be for almost 10 years (hard labour) and am glad I did not have to go through the dating BS like others do. Whether this is good or bad ........ I will let you know in another 10 years.

                    lol... Burnt lips....

Having been single my whole life. When I do go to a bar (rarely), I have to say I laugh my butt off sometimes at the mating rituals of some of these people. I have seen both women and men that are way over the top in appearance and attitude towards finding a mate.

To me the best places to meet someone are:

                    1. Library
                    2. Grocers
                    3. Friends of friends

But, then again I'm still single so maybe they aren't the best places.

Maybe working 7 days a week 10-16 hours a day has something to do with it. I know its not my financial portfolio that scares them away.

Add "4. Working in a bar" to that list.

I can tell you that bouncers get more tail than anyone else; including most of those playing "the game" on the barstools. Male bouncers? Women hang on them. Almost literally. Draped right over. Female bouncers (what few there are, sadly )? They get their choice... and who's going to argue with a 6'2" tall woman who's biceps are the size of the average man's thighs?

And, if you pick the right bar... there's not much else to do.

Of course, if you pick the right bar... you're way too busy to be scouting for booty.

I was a bartender for a couple years to make extra money. It was a University area bar. Besides bringing home 200-300 bucks a night I had my share of "personal assistants" as well. That was great in my 20's but I've outgrown that wild of a lifestyle.
