If any fans deserve a World Series ring it is the Detroit Tiger fans
Detroit has been always a good sports town
When things have been on the downside for the Lions, Pistons, Red Wings, and
Tigers, the fans have supported them. And Jim Leland has to be one of
the most decent managers in Baseball.

    LET'S HEAR IT FOR DETROIT

I am a big Tiger fan also. If they win, I hope it doesn't turn into another riot like it did in 1984.

It seems this happens all the time now. We had one in Montreal the last time the Canadiens won the Stanley Cup.

To me, this just shows how lawless people really are, and that was 22 years ago. If the cops went on strike tomorrow, utter chaos would rule. People obey because they HAVE to. There was a time, not too long ago, when people obeyed because it was the RIGHT thing to do.

It's illegal for cops to strike in Quebec. We have had police & firemen strikes in the past & it was not pretty.

Two teams from two great cities. Detroit and St. Louis.
You will find no more loyall fans then Cardnial and Tiger fans
This is healthy for baseball. Detroit was the doormat and
a team everyone laughed at two years ago. None of the other
baseball teams in the American League are laughing anymore

Also two of the most arrogant baseball owners in baseball, teams
are out of the picture. That blowhard George Steinbrenner, and
                    Ted Turner.

One of these years Seattle, Kansas City, Tampa Bay,and the Cubs
                    will finally make it

I hope the Baltimore Orioles make the world series in the next 50 years. Of course, I'm just being optimistic.

Not Seattle until we get some better management. The mariners have basically become a halfway house for small time, minor league, and Japanese players wanting to come into the MLB. All that seems to happen is the Mariners pick up this "new talent" thats supposed to "ride them all the way", and the player will play there for a couple years (maybe) and when they realize, "Hey, this team sucks" they work on getting themselves traded to a team with potential. We no longer seem to be a World Series oriented team... it has become quite sad.

                          Security Officer Lawson;
Seattle is another good sports town. The Mariners will make a comeback

FYI: My wife and I were in Seattle this past May. Mariners were out of town,
but saw SAFECO field. Seattle is a beautiful city. We had 24 hour layover
at SEA-TAC airport, so we rented a car and drove, drove, drove.

We drove East on I-90 for about an hour and I-90 last stop is Boston.

I drive a manual shift car, but those hills in Seattle would change my mind.
