I'm so frustrated! My car wouldn't start for some reason, so I had it towed to the repair shop that is about a 1/2 block away from my house. How much was I charged for the whole 0.4 miles? $85.00!! I have come to the conclusion that I am in the wrong business. When asked why it was so much, I was told... "Rising fuel costs". LOL!

It would have been $20.00, but since a tow truck driver is now called a "Certified Vehicle Relocation Specialist," he had to charge you the $85.00.Security: Freedom from fear; danger; safe; a feeling of well-being. (Webster's)

I made my original comment because I deal with people coming into the hotel's parking lot all the time with existing damage, then trying to claim it happened in the garage.I enforce rules and regulations, not laws.

In Quebec you can have as many signs as you want saying that you are not responsible for something but unless the person actually signs on a piece of paper agreeing that he has read the signs you are still respnsible.

When you call up a wrecker, you have to sign off. Ever read the fine print? When I last had my car towed, I held them completely harmless for all sorts of things. Some Kind of Commando Leader

And they'd complain, and the wrecker company would say, "Its legal."Some Kind of Commando Leader
