Course Description:
This course is designed to teach current flashlight and shooting techniques used in low or reduced light setting to train the operator to prevail in any lighting situation.
We spend 50% of our lives in the dark….How often do we train to prevail in a confrontation in the dark?…The FBI (UCR) states that 80% of all Law Enforcement shootings occur in low or reduced light.
This course will cover the following topics:
• Low & Reduced light shooting safety
• Physiology of the Eye
• Flashlights
• Night Sights
• Flashlight Techniques
• Illumination Techniques
• Flashlight use with firearms
• Movement with flashlights & firearms
• Flashlight shooting techniques
• Combat Mindset
• OODA Loop
Gear List:
Handgun with a directional draw holster
Sturdy belt
3 magazines with a spare magazine pouch
300 rounds of Handgun ammo
Clear Eye Protection
Hearing Protection (We recommend electronic muffs)
Knee pads
Flashlight & Flashlight holder
