CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) - Authorities say a prank turned dangerous when a College of Idaho security officer was hit by a vehicle driven by fleeing pranksters.

College of Idaho spokeswoman Jennifer Oxley says the accident happened late Tuesday night when four students from Northwest Nazarene University filled a fountain on the College of Idaho campus with soap. Two security officers saw the students and escorted them off campus.

Oxley says the students panicked, taking off in their car and hitting one security officer. Twenty-1-year-old Rolando De La Cruz was treated and released from West Valley Medical Center.

Police are investigating.
