EAST CLEVELAND - East Cleveland Police are investigating the shooting of a security guard at a Popeye's restaurant on Euclid Avenue.
Police say shortly before 10 p.m. a man in a ski mask and dark hooded sweatshirt went into the restaurant, possibly police say in a robbery attempt.

Police say the man took no money but say he shot the security guard in the face, shoulder and arm. The guard was taken to the hospital where his injuries have been described as non-life threatening.

About an hour before the security guard was shot, police say they received a report of shots fired down the street at Family Dollar. Police are trying to determine if the two incidents are related.
