While Security Officer Thomas Hickle was on duty Sunday evening he noticed on a security camera screen that someone was throwing rocks at employee vehicles at EDS Corporation, 3600 Army Post Road.

Des Moines police said Hickle went to investigate. The man became angry with Hickle about being confronted, officers said. A truck driver began hooking up to a trailer about that time and Hickle turned his head to look at the truck.

Police said he felt something in his leg and then saw the man running away. Hickle attempted to chase him but then noticed blood draining down his leg.

Police said he'd been stabbed in the leg. No arrests were reported.

Authorities said Hickle did not appear to be seriously injured

Its not how we die that counts.....
Its not how we lived that counts....
all that matters is how we saved that one life that one time by being in the right place at the right time....
