Man, 24, arrested in attack on guard

Police arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly attacking an apartment security officer with a martial arts weapon.
Police said that at about 3:15 yesterday afternoon, a security officer at an Ala Moana apartment complex responded to complaints of a disorderly tenant. Police said the suspect opened the door, ran into his apartment, and returned carrying a bamboo martial arts stick.
The suspect then attacked the security officer with the stick, police said. The victim closed the door and called police. After a brief struggle the suspect was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, harassment and resisting arrest.
