Clearwater, Florida - A 48-year-old Palm Harbor man found unconscious early Monday after a parking lot brawl at the at Atrium Martini Bar. He died early this morning.

Clearwater police say Leon Dash, Jr. was working security at the bar on Cleveland Street, when a fight erupted outside. A large crowd of young people dispersed as police arrived, but Dash was caught up in the violence, and was found unconscious and injured.

After being treated at the scene by Clearwater Fire Department paramedics, he was flown by helicopter to Bayfront, where he was pronounced dead about 24 hours after arrival.

Clearwater Police homicide detectives are investigating Dash's death as a homicide.
