SAN JOSE (BCN)
A 24-year-old woman is in jail today after she allegedly attacked a hospital security guard with a can of aerosol deodorant.
At 11:10 a.m. Monday sheriff's deputies responded to the Barbara Arons Pavilion at 751 Bascom Ave. near the Valley Medical Center to reports of an assault, according to Santa Clara County sheriff's Sgt. Ed Wise.
A recently discharged patient, Angela Ingram, allegedly sprayed Secret deodorant from about five feet away into the eyes of a male security guard for about three to five seconds.
"I got you good, that's assault,'' a witness claimed to have heard Ingram say. The woman's deodorant was strong enough to cause minor injuries to the man.
Deputies arrested Ingram and booked her into Santa Clara County Main Jail, Wise said.
Wise said the woman may have attacked the man in hopes of being charged for a crime and then provided county funded medication.
