  • Security Guard Hit In Attempted Robbery In Madison Parking Lot

A 38-year-old security guard working in the parking lot of the Sheraton Inn on John Nolen Drive was attacked by two men early Friday morning, but fended off the attack with pepper spray and his baton.

Police reported the unnamed male guard was doing his rounds when he confronted a suspect and told him he was trespassing. The suspect demanded the guard's wallet but the guard refused to give it up, while a second suspect struck the guard from behind.

The guard retaliated with pepper spray and baton, causing the suspects to flee on foot without taking the guard's wallet. The police K-9 unit was called in to help in the search for the suspects but they weren't found.

The guard complained of pain to his neck and ribs and went to the hospital for treatment.

Its not how we die that counts.....
Its not how we lived that counts....
all that matters is how we saved that one life that one time by being in the right place at the right time....
