Oceanside Police Officer Dan Bessant was shot to death by a 17-yr. old POS Wed. I was a patrol officer in Oceanside for 1.6 years and had the pleasure of backing up Ofcr. Bessant several times during my tour of duty. Great cop...leaves a wife and infant child. May God show His great mercy and grace to his family during this time...Ofcr Bessant, 10-8, heaven.
