    East Albany, GA:
    Joe Parker, 50, was shot in the leg by an armed robber as he was locking up the store at the JackRabbit truck stop. The robber snatched money from behind the cash register while the guard was incapacitated.

    This account says he tried to stop the robbery and also includes a link to a video that shows the suspect taking money from the register.

      Obviously, the guard's a target. Gun or no gun. Lets shoot him in the leg (he'll live!) and take the money.

      At least the guard didn't die. Leg shots are dangerous and crippling. Major veins and arteries run through those things.
