Interesting that they're basically requiring an Associates Degree in Security Management or Criminal Justice for what looks like an unarmed static patrol site.

      That's HR for ya!

Yeah, that's our brilliant Human Resources department. They think you need a PHD to push boxes around a warehouse. Personally, I think they just use it as an excuse to hire who they choose and ignore internal candidates from the company. I'll give you an example...one of our female officers had applied for a secretary's job in another section. She has a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice and a Paralegal AA degree and had worked for the company for twelve years. They said she wasn't qualified because she didn't have secretarial experience.

That's normal. Here's one for you:

Immediate opening - web designer. Our firm requires a web designer for internal and external intra/internet operations. Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Requires experience in LAN, WAN, HTML, Flash, and Computers, with 5 years experience in networking. This position pays 8.00 hourly, with a 40 hour work week.

I kid you not. They required a BS in CS for a gofer position. What they're not telling you is that LAN/WAN is Networking, as in stringing cable and setting up PCs, and that the person is basically the entire IT department. Most Network Techs are Network+ and Security+ certified, and make 26-28 an hour. They're looking for some kid who just got his BS degree, found out its freaking worthless without industry certs, and will JUMP at this chance to make 8 an hour and slave over PCs, while trying to make web pages in Flash and freaking Frontpage.
