Im already pretty sure I want to be an armed security guard and my guidance councellor told me theres differences (casino guard, regular guard, driver, etc.) And told me to think of the places I would want to work in most. I really want to work in the Casino's (i live in newyork). What are the requirements? Does the pay change at all compared to regular armed guards?

Sorry, I can't answer your question in relation to pay and conditions for Casino Security.
Casino Security does not appeal to me at all, as most of the work is involved indoors, in places usually devoid of natural light and air.
I realise that it's a personal choice, but I prefer working outdoors in rain, hail or shine.

Try calling companies
This may be a long shot, but I would try calling some casinos or security companies in the specific states and speaking with them about the requirements. I would guess that some employers may help you get certified if they want to hire you.
I've heard that a lot of casino security personnel are retired police officers. If you have any police experience that might help.

You can also consult your state statutes.
