  • Title?

I'm interested to know what we are being called these days. When I started in hotel security about 30 years ago we were House Detectives. There was very little pro-active security being done. We responded after things happened. We worked undercover.

Over the years we've become Security Officers.

In Quebec we are known as Agents de Securite (Security Agents).

There's another lengthy thread already in place for this issue.
"We appreciate all the hard work you've done, the dedicated hours you have worked, and the lives you have saved. However, since this is your third time being late to work, we are terminating your employment here."

I read that thread, too, over on Security Management Online. The guy is bitter and carries over Florida cop predijuces to the industry.
