If any of you guys in the West Central Florida area (St. Pete) are interested - We have an opening for a supervisor. It pays a whopping 10 bucks an hour which is sure to attract highly qualified, security professionals, .....right? (and.... you get to be called, "Captain." Cool, huh?)
Ok, joking aside, it's a nice post at an upscale community Gatehouse with 24/7 security. The company has sent us several people to train but when they see 2500 cars a day come through the gate they go screaming off into the night.
We need someone who is computer literate, detail oriented and doesn't get rattled easily (especially, doesn't get rattled easily). Most of all, we need someone who has some teeny, tiny little bit of pride in how they perform. We've had about 30 dork-brained guards through here in the last 5 years..... most of them I shot and buried out back.... nobody has missed them so far.
I turned down the position because I don't want to work the first shift and I don't think our company has anybody else qualified for it, otherwise, we'd have one by now. It's been about 3 weeks. It might not be open long. Any day now, the company will find someone with an acceptable body temperature and, reasonably, steady heart beat and send them out here while they're still warm.... and I'll have to dig another hole out back.
Anyway, if you'd like to talk about it, email me at [email protected]
