  • Thought for the Day

    Whether it be a factory closing down, and going out of business, a retail store your expected to Guard at night, construction, or Office building after 5 in the afternoon and all the beautiful people have gone home for the day.

    Remeber this my fellow Officers;

    The last person to turn out the lights is the Security Guard.

    What lights? Vacant buildings usually have the power cut off.

        There a smart a*s in every discussion.
        Okay if you must be difficult, the last one to snuff out the candle is
        the Security Guard.

        I suppose your going to tell me the Guards are not allowed to play with matches.

          No, I'm going to tell you that we don't have guards, we (quoting from another thread) have "plainclothed detectives"

            Well, looks like the snarky quotient has been met, so I won't make a smart-ass comment.

            Security: the last one out. And checks the door behind him.

              You would be surprised how many buildings leave their lights on over night and some government buildings with minimal staff - say IT have many floor lights blazing away. 1 site I used to fill in once every few weeks on a Friday night (8 hours after my own job) always left the Xmas Tree Lights as a visual to know we had not lost power to the now empty building at 0200 (when I finished).
