  • Cool shooter training videos

    From my favorites list:

#1. Active Shooter Training TV news story. I love this one, I showed it around my department. What the UMPD officer said about learning environments was spot on, a must view for campus police and security.

#2. RISK Inc. Video. Just cool stuff.

#3.USSA promotion video. Note to Msofin and others, this is a 4:59 minute video, the very 2nd shooter you see (at the 0:21 second mark) is doing what my instructors called "anchor point" shooting (straght from the holster without aiming).

At the end of the USSA video that also do "1 handed reload" drills, in case 1 of your arms is incapacitated you can still reload a semi-auto.

FYI to others who aren't going to watch the video, BC is talking about anchor point shooting; a lot of us learned this as 'retention position' shooting. Just a different name for the same thing, like the Mozambique drill being called everything from failure to Bailer to 'failure to stop' drill.

    Nice tactical reload though.

EDIT: See a great example of the 'anchor point' or 'retention position' shooting here.

Great footage, thanks! I'll try "anchor point" shooting next time I can get to the range.

Any suggestions for dry fire practice?
