    I'm confused how are you able to purchase a hand gun without producing a valid permit? In our state you can't even buy ammo without a permit. Of course if you are a bad guy then you can buy anything without a permit.

    Congrats! Keep the firearm holstered unless it is absolutely neccesary. As stated previously, get a good holster and practice, practice and practice. Keep your finger off the trigger and outside trigger guard unless you intend to shoot.

    Congrats, and welcome to the next level.

    Just remember the gun is your last resort. DO NOT use it unless you have to and be sure to have a good retention holster.

    hey all,

    I just got my Glock 19 (9mm) today. My firearms permit is still being processed, but I expect to start working armed by Jan. 08.

    If there are any words of wisdom from the seasoned armed guards here I would be grateful.
