    I personally like Winchell's

"Alright guys listen up, ya'll have probably heard this before, Jackson vs. Securiplex corporation; I am a private security officer, I have no State or governmental authority. I stand as an ordinary citizen. I have no right to; detain, interrogate or otherwise interfere with your personal property-... basically all that means is I'm a cop."-Officer Ernie

I'm not gonna bother with the quotes, just comments.

A Ruben without sauerkraut? Sacralidge! But gotta have to potato cakes. And a Jamocha shake.

      Dunkin' Donuts.

As far as education goes, I installed an alarm system 12 or 13 years ago. I was explaining how to use this very basic system to the lady of the house. She said "Oh, my husband will never get that. He's a doctor."

I have a customer I HATE doing work for. It's a testing lab, and I have to deal with this "engineer". He will drive me absolutely nuts. When we were putting in the security and access control systems, he would think of every conceivable and inconceivable thing that could happen.
Him: What if the door doesn't close, will it lock?
      Me: No
Him: That's not acceptable. What can we do?
Me: Gary, what do you do now if the door doesn't close? Besides, that's what you have an alarm system for.
Him: What if a mouse chews threw the wires at night.
You see where this keeps going.....

"Probably the most disturbing part is one of the officers using his leg and his knee to pin his head and his neck against the ground," said Paul Pritchard, who made the video.

I'd have to agree that the thought of delivering trauma to the base of the skull/neck of a flaccid, unconscious, limp, relaxed OR sleeping individual is abhorrent (due it's potential to sever the spine), however this knee-pin manoeuvre was performed on struggling/aggressive conscious individual, resisting lawful apprehension was it not?

ddog... why advocate for 100,000 V tasers? after all upping the voltage will only serve to further increase the amperage delivered?

The only practical/logical way to get to clarify this unfortunate incident (and possibly alter LEO procedures/tactics) is with an autopsy preceded with a Coroner's inquest IMHO

BTW Educational accomplishments don't equate to an indivduals' intelligence merely embraced opportunities, there's a quote made by Burt Reynold's character in the movie 'Smokey & the Bandit' that seems quote pertinent to this topic... (paraphrased) "It's depends on just where you're standing as to how dumb you are..."

Off Topic (well sort of) - Does this Arby's have good Chilli Con Carne?

I read every post except sectrainer's windy or all-caps (roughly equivalent) posts, but don't usually chew my cud unless new aspects are brought up. Your last "reply" for me is a tidy way of making your point. We can agree to disagree.

But (ahem) back to the thread topic, I'd rather have the known punishment of my limbs shot with a pistol or even a rifle, than have that exact 'sequenced' stunt pulled on me. If you are LUCKY, you will survive a paraplegic from the neck down: no thanks.

Of course I could be proven wrong on YouTube every day for eternity from someone who 'knows' different

Especially those you don't like, I notice.

Actually, quite a few of my posts are very brief, but I admit that sometimes I do forget about members with short attention spans, and many of our forum topics (such as this one) deserve to be discussed at length, rather than in "snappy sound bites". Sorry! I will endeavor to compress.

Is there even one documented occurance of this control tactic causing someone to become paraplegic?

I have been taught this tactic in both security and LE classes.

No, I was saying at 'best case'. The only dual 50K V taser shots with one second intervals and a knee diving on a neck within 5 seconds of dual tasers and several officers holding the suspect has resulted in death to my knowledge.

SO... your security and LE classes said to taser a victim with dual 50K V lasers in 1 second intervals and immediately crush their neck with weight centered on knee within 5 seconds while several officers hold the victim stretched out?

My, sounds like overly zealous instructors who don't have a clue as to the results and looking for tail end of a law suit.

... of course I could be proven wrong on YouTube repeatedly for all times if ONE person would dare try this 'ultimate' jackass stunt

Nah... he stated they didn't have any!

Surely citizens of the US don't have to cross the border to purchase good Chilli con carne do they?

I've seen this tactic used locally with great success

Just a little curious... I'm not familiar with this knee-pin technique we're discussing, it is supposed to be applied to the head & not the neck right? would a knee to the upper scapula be just as effective? Additionally, is it intended to prevent the person being cuffed biting those apprehending them?
