  • Security Helps to Apprehend Violent Rapist

Houston, TX - A serial rapist found his way into an elementary school and was in the process of trying to rape a first grade teacher. A security guard and some neighborhood kids held the suspect down until police arrived. The suspect was taken into custody.

Perhaps the security guard should have "helped" him digest some "medicine" in the form of chalk sticks to cure this "disorder."
Security: Freedom from fear; danger; safe; a feeling of well-being. (Webster's)

Perhaps not, considering even violent offenders like that have civil rights until convicted. Kudos to the security and the community, however. This is a perfect example of why security should not simply be there to observe and report. The rapist would have succeeded with his act if physical intervention would not have taken place.

OK, ok. Then how about after he's convicted, if he is? [Just kidding ]

Considering some of the stories I've heard from corrections officers, he very well may. He may also see the unpleasant end of a broom handle.
