So, i've decided to start applying to police departments. I'm bored, so I was looking through the background packet (personal history statement), and this kind of surprised me. There's a section, where it asks about public safety contacts. Some of the questions were have you ever been photographed, chased or fingerprinted by either a LEO or security official. For those that have either completed or even looked at a such a packet ever seen security mentioned in such a way? Makes me wonder if you check off yes to any of the questions. Very interesting to me...thoughts?

Use the packet as a window into what the oral interview will be like. Start figuring out how you will answer some very personal questions - they want to know EVERYTHING.When I had mine, they also told me to expect an unannounced visit by a police investigator at home. That "visit" lasted about an hour and included three pages of questions covering every facet of my life. High School and college transcripts are also scrutinized.
