  • Tri-Cities Security Companies

If I recall correctly, there are a few Security Officers in Washington State

that frequent this forum. Does anyone know of any private security

companies that are in or around the Tri-Cities?

Not off the top of my head, but I'm sure some of the larger ones (Wackenhut, Securitas, basically the Group4 ones) probably have some clients there.

I think Phoenix Protective (http://www.phoenixprotectivecorp.com/) operates in that general area.

I tried applying with them in 2005 by mailing in a resume and never had a response...

There is a local company called Moon Security that operates out of Yakima. They may cover the Tri Cities area as well. http://www.moonsecurity.com/

Securitas is located at 2510 N. Pine Road in Spokane and currently has openings. They want you to apply in person.

Phoenix Protective is at 223 W. 2nd and is always looking for LP people as well as uniformed officers.

Home Depot in Spokane is looking for LP people.

Customs & Border Patrol has duty positions in the Spokane area for sector enforcement specialists. Here's the link (scroll down to see the duty assignment areas - not the list of offices at the top of the screen): http://federalgovernmentjobs.us/jobs...st-736731.html

Last time I was in the Kennewick area, I think the company I saw was CWI- http://www.cwisecurity.com/ .

Of course, the mall cops at Columbia Center Mall looked pretty sharp, but then who knows, that was in 2004.

Last time I was there in 2006 they still looked sharp. The only security of there I know is the Security Police Officers on Hanford (U.S. DoE) then "Moon Security" but they appear to be a low-ball company when it comes to pay.

There is Olympic Security who has the contracts for the Pasco Airport and the Benton County Sheriff's Office last time I checked.

There is a company called Merchant Patrol or Washington Merchant Patrol... Not to be confused with the "Western Washington Merchant Patrol"...

There is another security, I think they are proprietary, they guard some sort of energy area or something. (Not Hanford) from what I hear, they are pretty high-speed with all the cool toys. A buddy of mine works for a railroad out there and whenever they cross through these guy's property they have to do it under armed guard. I will talk to my buddy in the Tri-Cities and see who they are.

No, I do not believe that is them. I am pretty sure it is a private security force. Like Northwest Energy or something...

Energy NW has a contract with the Columbia Generating Station nuclear power plant for "nuclear security officer" positions.

Didn't they used to have the GSA contract in E WA? Or was that SSI?
