  • busy day for the police today.....

    IN THE LAST 5-10 MINS....

while listening to my scanner this comes across

    1. Male overdose - amercein? or something that sounds like that
    2. 1 male sitting in a car with black face mask walking over to golf cart business
    3. 1 male looking in peoples windows claims, to be selling gold necklaces door to door
    4. 1 car hit a car being towed by pd
    5. vice setting up drug string

    o.O talk about a busy 15 mins :P

not including the other "minor" calls

the "service/request" channel has two officers on hold o.O

While Utah is one of the few states I have not visited, my impression has always been that it is a low crime state. Is this kind of activity unusual?

Dont feel bad.. its been a strange day all together..

One of my food verndors at my mall decided to call PD and inform them that he was comitting suicide at my site. When we arrived on scene, the gentleman was attempting the wrist open technique with what appeared to be some sort of an ice cream scoop.

I still am not sure what the proper verbal response to that one would be!

Keep your head down on days like this!

If that's what they call busy, they should try a county PD here in Maryland. Just about everyday you can expect the evening shift to have 40-60 calls "on hold".

There's no verbal orders possible where you have someone armed with an ice cream scoop, I'm afraid. The situation is just too dangerous. He could scoop out your eye! That's why we have orders to shoot anyone brandishing an ice cream scoop on sight.

My city is considered fairly quite but all that stuff is considered a good day out here. Our SO is considering letting the minor offenders free to make room for the major guys and gals.

Would you not just call the Sanity Police or a Dishwasher? Maybe you don't have or believe in a Sanity Clause....

Dishwashers are on strike, so all we got is them dishwasher wanna-be's...bus boys. They run around tryin to make folks think they're dishwashers, hollering "Dishwasher! Halt or I'll rinse!", threatening people with spatulas, etc. Makes the professional dishwashers sick, but apparently there's no law against impersonating a dishwasher.

Today was a nice slow day here. The most interesting thing occurring was when a group of pd pulled a car over on our property and removed an assault riffle from the car. Needless to say those in the car got a free ride downtown.

You're lucky...I can't access the site since it's restricted to sworn dishwashers only.

Even Class A pseudo-dishwashers from KCMO can't join, as they aren't sworn and their dishwasher powers are restricted to scraping crumbs in their own venues (but they can pursue crumbs, chicken bones and melon rinds off-site on foot, so long as the crumbs don't take off in a vehicle).

I've heard the list is filled with juicy secret homeland security information, like which brands of soap make the longest-lasting suds, whether cotton or microfiber towels are best for hiney-snapping the bad guys, etc. so I'm very jealous that you've got access! You is de man!
