  • Out of shape Donut Eater almost takes room temperature challenge

    https://youtu.be/Hrx-ymmI0Rk

So this happened in Illinois. Female cop approaches a suspicious vehicle from the front, stands in front of the window and basically gives a guy a perfect target while he pulls out a gun and shoots at her.

if you listen to the audio you can hear her begging him not to shoot her not to take her gun and at one point she even says look I'll just leave don't kill me.

somebody want to explain to me why this donut eater deserves more respect than your average security guard?

Why do you feel the need to insult this police officer?

Why do you feel the need to go off topic? Maybe discuss the incident and how you could have done better

I don't see what the coppett could have done much different. She had another officer on site as back up.

Whatever the issue was a cop is gonna have to approach driver's windows (because current police policy is all about sticking your face up almost inside a car's window hoping to sniff grass, because then the 4th Amend doesn't matter, etc).

Yeah, these cops are always crying about "muh Officer Safety above all else", but they as matter of policy will ALWAYS stick their head as far as they can up inside a traffic stop's car. No one else does that around strangers, or even people they know. Its just bad manners and aggressive behavior, not to mention PUTTING YOUR SELF NEEDLESSLY AT RISK. I wouldn't dream of doing it when handing out parking passes or checking badges, etc. You never know who just had a really bad day or is a nutjob, or has a pitbull lurking in the back, etc. Sheesh, if I'm doing something like that with General Public I'll wear long sleeves and gloves, and that is for my hands and forearms, not my naked THROAT.

You started off right away by insulting her as a "fat donut eater" and then complaining about how security guards don't get any respect.

So again, understanding that we as security guards don't do traffic stops on public streets, how would you approach a suspicious vehicle on property in This Woman's position?

Three things seem obvious to me, she was out of shape and didn't appear to know how to fight in a job where sooner or later you're going to have to fight somebody. She wasn't expecting a fight and she wasn't prepared for a fight. In my opinion if she would fix those three things she could have overcome everything else.

I wish we had the whole story. My understanding from what I've heard and read was that she was patrolling down that dirt road and he was just sitting there and she thought it was odd so she stopped to check it out. So was the guy that backed her up her partner? Did he arrive on the scene at the same time that she did? If so why didn't they approach the car together?

In my town our cops are 1 to a car but I have noticed that every time they pull somebody over the first cop doesn't usually get out of his car until another cop shows up at the scene, at least at night. Now I have no way of knowing if this is policy but I've seen it happen way too many times for it to just be coincidence.

Another thing that I noticed around here the cop would have passed right by that truck and U-turned to come up from behind on him like you would in a normal traffic stop.

The scariest thing I do on any given night is approach a suspicious vehicle I don't do it if I have any other option. If I have to do it I make damn sure that I'm behind that person so that they would have to turn around to come at me. And that's even when all I'm going to do is tell them that this is private property and they have to leave.

When you put on a uniform and go on shift you gotta be ready to rock ‘n roll, no matter what. I don’t care who you are, joe gangbanger or grandma Moses, I’m ready to throw down.

I don't know. I'm not a police officer and haven't received police training, so I'm not going to question the tactics of the police officer.

no, YOU are WAY out of line. Warning issued.

Adults are talking and you keep interrupting. Go stand in the corner.

LM has a good point. IMO the audio is legit and NOT some officer pulling off an Oscar winning performance of 'verbal judo'. Obviously, she does not have the temperament for the job, and that was no doubt made very clear LONG before this happened but was squashed due to Affirmative Action.

PS-If you field is subject to Affirmative Action hiring AND retention, you job is a joke. They pay checks, titles etc are like the medals given out by Special Olympics.

I can tell you how I do it, which is same as what cops WOULD do if not for policy of always trying to do Illegal Search.

I stay as far away as practical, and behind cover, after getting my supervisor or partner LIVE ON CELL with me, in case things go bad, then I start flushing the subject with Mister Bullhorn and bright flashlight. Hasn't failed yet. IMO its not the volume of Mr Bullhorn, its his certain electronic tone he adds. It just drips with authority and everyone suddenly feels like they woke up in their underwear on stage at their old grammar school. If its a TRUELY suspicious vehicle, I'll read approx year, make, color and model of car and Lic Plates to "dispatch" over Mr Bullhorn.

For 98% of traffic stops, cops COULD ask you for your name and DL # from nice safe distance, its only quirk in law about presenting PHYSICAL copy of DL, reg, etc that makes Court decide you have to roll down your window even 1".

PS-at one site with a constant problem of being local hangout for people in parked cars, it all went away after only about 3 encounters with Mr Bullhorn. IMO it all about the Psych Effect of leaving the lot "in public shame" VS just cruising out after someone walks up to your car.

ever been in a situation where the employer has a really tough time filling a certain slot, because no one will work with this one entrenched guy, and everyone figures its not worth complaining and complaining wouldn't work anyways and would most likely only get YOU sent to "how to get along with coworkers" class, so everyone just comes up with reasons why "I'll like to, and Mr X is great, but my cat's vet just said I'll be needing to...." type reasons they can't work that shift?

I've been on a couple. One I dubbed "Happy's Fun House" and other cases with other names given by others I can't repeat the names of.

How did it work out that these two ended up working together? Hee, hee.

I have decided not to worry too much about pooper because he clearly doesn't have any actual authority. If he did he would have edited my post and took out what he didn't like.

I'm guessing he's still lives in his mom's basement
