Wouldn't it be a lot simpler if Florida followed some of what Oregon has done, if you provide security-rgardless of in house or not-you must be certified (licsensed)??
I would think that would take a lot of the (seemingly) confusion out of the problem related to who is who is not licsensed. We are required to be certified/licsensed regardless if you do contract patrol security, LP work, bar bouncing. Our laws state that all must be certified at the minimal level-Unarmed. If you desire tobe certified as an Armed Officer you also must be certified as Unarmed before and during your Armed Cert.
