Shiftwork percentages

    Yes I too have heard that percentage as well.
    In this 24/7 day world we live in, that is quite true.
    I worked 17 years 2300-0700 shift working in a factory.
    Did it for two reasons:

    1. 15% shift differential in pay
    2. When our daughters were pre-school age, I'd get home at 0730.
    Stay up all day with our daughters
    My wife would go to work. get Home at 1600 hours, and I'd sleep
    from 1600 to 2200 hours.

    You'd be surprised how many parents do this.

    Shiftwork percentages

    I have read that about 20% of the US and Canada's population work some form of shiftwork, does that hold true for your city/state/province/country?

    Has anyone seen recent studies on this?
