Standard rate for executive protection?

While researching other security topics I came across World Protection Group out of Los Angeles, CA. For a fully qualified EP agent the going rate is $30.00 to $40.00 per hour. For just an armed security agent (guard), the rate is $22.00 to $25.00 an hour.

I haven't been around EP any time recently, but it seems kind of low, especially for California. I'm assuming there is a lot of competition in this field, especially in Hollywood? Must be the same for the armed guard positions - $25.00 p/h is roughly the starting rate in Seattle.

I have not seen WPG's rates. However, ODO's in this capacity run anywhere from 45.00 to 65.00 depending on the client and the threat level.
