  • I bought one of these weapon detectors

I bought one of these weapon detectors and it is the greatest thing I have ever seen. It warns you without tipping off the suspect of the pesence of a gun, needle or other metal object. Check it out below.

I did. I would love to get one of those. I've seen it before in LE catalogs, but I didn't know how well it worked. Hands-off search is the only search I will do.

Thank you for that information. Mine is old and folks I talked to stated there was to much interference they didn't work for them.
There are limitations in all equipment, we just have to learn to work through them.
Thanks again for this valuable information.
      Enjoy the day,

Normally, I dislike advertising in places other than "vendors," but hell, that's half off, and there's a 7 day money back on it.

I have looked at MetalTec, and think out of the offerings, that the Metal Tec is one of the better products. Its smaller, less obtrusive, and people aren't quite sure what it is.

This is one of the reasons I like ebay for maximizing buying power.

Sweet...I was thinking about buying one, but the price tag turned me off. Maybe I should've been looking on eBay!

That sure beats the stupid black and yellow Garrett one I use.

eBay is incredibly useful. Do you think I'm going to pay 1.8 grand for a Whelen Edge lightbar? Hell no. 300-400 bucks per light bar, all you have to do is (at times) buy the whelen lenses. Which I will do anyway, because they get treated with Plexar to prevent dulling anyway.

Another good one on that line, is www.propertyroom.com

It's another (albeit much smaller) auction site, but they specialize in police/fire/ems equipment... You can find some good stuff on there for decent prices... Like N.A. said, $400 for lightbars, etc...

I've been to property room, but every time I go there, its always forfeited or abandoned claim items - never fleet management's old warez.

A friend advised me about Nashville (Where he lives) Police's website - they auction off light bars by the pallet. Its pick-up only, and red is "restricted," but if you bring a letter authorizing you to have red from an attorney, they'll let you go with it if your out of state.

But, hell, they had a crate of 10 Vista light bars w/ signal controllers for 20 bucks.

Nice! If you browse the "Everything Else" category at PR, you'll eventually find lightbars & fleet equipment... Just have to get past the junk first... Just checked this morning, and they've got about a half dozen various lightbars listed, and about a dozen vehicle cages... For VERY good rates... (Albeit not QUITE as good as that crate you mentioned... lol)

Ah, thanks! I got bored of playing with the interface, bling dosen't interest me. Again, you either have to dig in these things, or someone else share their digging.
