I've been shopping around for a good watch to wear on duty. The ones I've had have been stainless steel and they keep getting banged up. I've been looking at Smith & Wesson, but have heard that their watches don't last too long . . . any opinons.

I dont wear a watch, just a cell phone. When I do buy a watch, I have found the 12 dollar watches at Walmart to be the longest lasting. I just threw one in the trash that I had for probably 5-6 years. Battery is still running strong.

Never have worn a watch. Just use the cell phone. Nice thing on the new phone is I never have to update it. Does it automatically. Oh, and I do sometimes look at the time on the truck radio.

I worked for the city once upon a time as a carwasher. I was out in the middle of the parking lot with a small shed and no clocks. I actually learned how to tell time off the position of the sun. It was pretty cool.

I wear a ten thousand dollar Rolex. One day I was waiting for the bus and this nice little guy approached me and told me how his wife was very sick and needed a transplant and for a mere Twenty bucks I could have his Rolex. Well heck yea I took that deal in a heart beat. It's funny though I didn't know Rolex was made in China. Learn something new every day.

I'm another one that uses the cell phone. I like the automatic adjustment of the time too.

I stopped wearing watches (relied on my pagers before getting a cell phone) way back when I first started in hotels. This hotel had a lot of big Italian weddings. Fights would always break out. I broke 3 watches in 3 months so I stopped wearing them. (Actually at first I didn't have a pager, I bought a cheap pocket watch).

I'm not really a watch person (though I've got more than 4 ) generally I just don't wear one, but I have lately to assist with my time management (and save getting the 'cell' outta' it's pouch all the time), it's one of those leather retro style (UK WWII military) bands that cover the face of the watch (similar to below)

I usually wore an Ironman, but G-Shock is nice, too.

Honestly, these days, if I were going to get a tacticool watch, it'd probably be an ASP watch.

If I were going to be SANE, I'd buy something with indiglow, which I have used for night navigation like the ads before.

The only real consideration I give to watches is the reflective/shiny factor. I prefer to have no metallic parts. The only shiny thing I wear is my badge and name plate, otherwise, everything else is black in color. No shiny buckles, snaps or visible keys dangling from my belt. Why present a better target?
