Locknid was asking about recorder mic's and got me thinking (yea, wood is burning )

Anyone use or can recommend a digital voice recorder for meetings and note taking? ( I did a search on this site but could not find what I was looking for)

Any software to transcribe onto your computer?

Also, many new car radio's have mp3 player connection slots, can any of the recorders be compatible?

I have an RCA digital recorder. It works well with an external mic. (similar to a lapel microphone) I picked it up from Radio Shack about 3 years ago. So far, so good.
