How Much to Charge a Client???

This is tough to answer with what you have provided. What are the wages for the officers? Are they armed or unarmed? What are the shifts... 8,10, or 12?

The officers will be paid $10 per hour. They will be unarmed. They will work 8 hour shifts.

How many man hours is the account worth? What is the prevailing man hour bid in your area? What is the risk index for the property? What duties do the guards have, which translate into additional fees?

Hmm... Without knowing all the variables, I would say somewhere in the range of $30-35 hourly.

That is a really open end question there are a lot of things to look at. Does the client what a special uniform? Is fuel/maintenance for the vehicle included? what about health coverage? There are alot of things to really look at you want to make sure you are making money for your company. How much of a percent of overtime can you have without losing money? As a supervisor that helped start up a new site I wish I could give you a clean answer.

Here, a two-man car will cost you more than that. Might have something to do with the fact that we start most armed officers at $15 an hour.

Davis and I have conversations about me trying to figure out how his firm commands such a "high" man hour rate. And yet... people pay. They get what they pay for, at least.

The client wants two guards on site at all times. There is a guard booth located at the front gate. One guard will remain in the booth at all times. His duty is to monitor I.D. Badges. The second guard will use the patrol car to monitor the swimming pool, parking lot, and apartment complex. He will also have cars towed if they do not have parking stickers. In addition, he will arrest/confront trespassers. How much should I request?

Wow.......... you dont ask easy questions do you? On the car..... is it paid off? WHat are the payments per month, what is the ins per month, firgure out the average number of miles per month then the number of oil changes and maint needed per year...... gas..... and then mark it up by about 1.5 that should be a ok price. Wont make much but you will not lose on it either. As for the officers..... go for a simple 60% DL. You will be ok.

$15? Don't tell me that's for residential. Out here the going rate is between $18-$22 an hour. Hourly salary for guards is $8-$11 an hour. Theres a company I heard about thats paying 40 hours taxed and 40 hours under the table.

Are there cameras at the site? if not are they going to ask for them? if that is the case who will provide them? How big is the company you work for? I ask that because there are ways to move the cost of a start up site on to other sites that are already up and running.
