You know what say about Texas only steers and queers come from Texas. You don't look like a steer to me. lol i love that movie full melt jacket.
Glad have you join the team.
I'm from Texas as well. But I think I better pass on the introduction so I don't get mislabeled.
that line was form "Officer and a Gentleman", but Im sure you already knew that.
y'all are both right...Gunnery SGT Hartman says nearly the same line on Full Metal Jacket as well when talking to PVT Cowboy during the opening few minutes in the barracks.
I am watching it right now...I mean...diligently staring at a broken camera monitor...

If you're gonna quote the movie, quote it right..
PS...we Texans never tire when we hear these remarks from those of lesser states.

Average pay for Unarmed is 7.00-10.00, and Armed is 10.00-15.00
I know I am a little late but; Texas does not limit to caliber the handgun a Security Officer can carry. An officer must be commissioned, and can carry a handgun of the type listed on his commission card.
NSA=Non-semi automatic
SA=Semi-auto and includes NSA.
STG=shotgun- to carry a shotgun on duty, or have one accessible, the card must have the STG designation.
Right now, rifles are not authorized.
Officers must qualify with a .38 or larger, but can carry any.
Arrest powers in Texas are the same as for any other person. There is no provision for special authority of Security Officers.
I was wanting info on Texas Security. What types of firearms are allowed? training hours? cost for license? what's the difference in commissioned and non-commissioned sec. officers? Arrest or detainment powers? typical pay for armed,unarmed? basically generic info.thanks
