  • Hi from Southern California

I am in the process of starting a security and investigations company in Southern California. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am 30 years old and spent 9 years in the Marines as a Military Policeman and after September 11, 2001, I was assigned as the base Physical Security Specialist. I got out of the Marines at the rank of Sergeant and was hired at a Southern California Police Department as a Police Officer. I spent almost 2 years as a Police Officer and now I am a Reserve Police Officer while preparing to start my new business.

I am very excited about starting the business and have done a lot of research on security and investigations as well as worked part-time as a Security Officer, Executive Protection Specialist, and I have had experience conducting numerous investigations while in the Military and as a civilian police officer.

I am currently waiting on my PI license and my PPO to be issued from BSIS. They are telling me that I should have both by the middle of April, 2007.

I have already read a lot of posts here and I will probably be posting more as my business starts and I begin dealing with clients.

I look forward to hearing everyone's comments/suggestions, good or bad relating to the Security industry.

Thanks for having me on this forum.

Camp Lejeune - In 1971 at 1:00AM I was pulled over by the MPs while returning to the barracks. I was driving my 1965 Chevy Impala with a 409 and custom side exit exhausts. I had two chery bomb mufflers and no resinators for an exhaust system. The MPs gave me a warning and I had 72 hours to correct the issue. I returned a couple of days later with steel wool stuffed up the exhaust. It passed and within a day the steel wool had all but burnt out of the system. Fond memories! I made it a habit to coast by the MPs in netural after that.
