  • New guy in ireland

    Greetings all!

    I'm cros13 and I'm a security professional from Ireland.

Been in the industry for 6 years, still enjoy it as much as the first day.

I'm heading to Iraq on contract in May, so right now I have 6 months off to bulk up my skills. Hope to contribute quite a bit to this forum!

One Irishman to another, welcome aboard and get involved. "Erin go bragh!"
    Enjoy the day,
    Bill

          ACP01:
The only reason I knew Erin go bragh is my father had a gree colored flag with those words emblazoned on it. When asked, he replied, "Ireland forever." My grandfather corrected him by saying, "Till doomsday." Were I to tender a guess it would probably be six on one and a half-dozen of the other.
I have no clue as to what the other phrase means.
          Enjoy the day,
          Bill

"Eireann go deo" is Ireland forever for future reference.

            Your grandpa was right.

              Welcome

Hello cros13, it's nice to see someone in from the Mother Country.

Good luck in Iraq, you are going to need it.

Anyhow, while you're here, I hope we can have a bit of the craic.

As a matter of interest who is the largest Security Company in Ireland and does the Irish Army still do the Cash Escorts?

              Cheers.

Welcome. I'm not Irish (At least not that I know of, bloodline is a little muddy)but have always thought that Ireland is one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
                Good luck in Iraq.

I'm planning on going to Cookstown Northern Ireland for a wedding in May. About 15 years ago students from both religious groups from there were sent to Montreal for a summer. The idea was to put them in a place where they had more in common than they thought (Montreal's working language is French). We took care of one of the students & are going to his wedding. My wife is especially excited as her mother's family is from Ireland.
I enforce rules and regulations, not laws.
