I am James Foster Robinson, S/O Retired and have had close to twenty years experience in security work as a guard, officer, mobile patrol, armed escort, night supervisor and site supervisor. I have worked in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, Canada and in West Virginia, USA before my retirement. I am also the guardian of the NAPSOA World Security Memorial
The NAPSOA World Security Memorial is dedicated to all those private security employees world wide killed or died in the performance of their duty - the protection of people, property and information!
I will list on the memorial any officer or guard killed on the job, going to and from the job and who works for any private company, organization (non political) or individual. Members of organizations and individuals that are criminal or terrorist in nature are not eligible. I will also include individuals in our profession who died of natural causes but have contributed significantly to our profession in some way.
I started a Security Memorial many years when I realized that Security Officers and Guards were being killed on the job and few people seemed to know about it or care. Men and women, regardless of race or religion, are being shot, stabbed, beaten to death while trying to do their duty. It seems that only their families, friends and co-workers grieve for and remember their passing and sacrifice. The deaths often go unreported in the media. When they are reported, the event is quickly forgotten by the public. I have not forgotten! I will not forget! Have you? Will you?
