Didn't Securitas take over Pinkerton in the US as well as Canada

In some areas, the Securitas name is not as profitable as Burns and Pinkerton, so they kept it.

I get the impression Securitas does own Pinkerton here, but they still have a licensed branch office by the name Pinkerton.

Because Securitas is foreign owned, they cannot work certain types of contracts. Pinkerton Government Services is a wholly US owned company that is able to work these special accounts. Securitas makes $$ fro Pinkerotn, but is not allowed to have any say on the day to day operations or they can't work the accounts.
