  • Hospital Incident Command System

    For those who may be interested, here's a page of links to the HICS (sometimes also called HEICS) manual. Note that you have to download appendices to the manual, forms, instruction sheets and other materials like scenarios separately. It's a good idea for all hospital security officers to understand the hospital incident command system recommended for use in emergencies, as either HICS or some variant of it should be in place at every hospital.

    Something new I found out about is that FEMA is now offering IS-100 with a specific for Hospital/Healthcare workers. The've had it for LE, PW and disaster workers for a couple years.

    Although I've already taken IS100 I'm taking this version to see what's different
