  • Patrol Car and Gas

As a start-up security company with two patrol cars, what are some ways that I can cover gas purchases? Should a budject be set aside, should I include it in my contracts? Any ideas would help.

I think your fuel costs need to be part of your billing. Sadly you lose money when fuel costs rise

Part of your billing. A fuel surcharge, or a general cost that reflects the need for gas is important.

Are you intentionally starting a patrol business, or are you also going after security guard contracts?

I think gas rate is high as compare to patrol, there are lots of problem face by people who are not able to purchase gas. Government should take some serious steps to control this.

What about for in-house operations? I am a candidate to assist a company in the start up of their security operations and run it for them. We are thinking SUV's (Ford Police Interceptor Utility's or Ford Escape's).
