Default mag lock power w fire alarm contacts

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for installing a mag lock? Is it better to run the mag lock power directly through fire alarm contacts? or, can I run the FA contact to the door strike/mag power supply control boards (two) that are labeled fire safety control. I can't remember the name of the power supply right now, but it can control up to 2 strikes per board with separate dry contact inputs. It has a special board that piggybacks onto the main board. (which I would have to buy separately). I have to de-energize 3 other doors as well as the mag lock. (The strikes are "fail safe" and I have only one FA contact to work with)

Check with your City bylaws and fire department. Release may need to be part of the fire alarm depending on the door use and location.

If you have fire alarm inputs on the power supply board, use them. They are approved for this use. This also aids in troubleshooting, and makes service easier if you aren't the fire alarm service provider. Also, you should be able to daisy chain that across multiple power supplies.
