Default whats up with these "global analyst" jobs?

    http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/sec/3805124494.html

Ad reads like you are sitting it the "big chair" in Dr Evil's lair.

Not it this ad but very similar ad had "peanuts" salary of "25-30K yr", IIRC, which when you include holidays and weekends in "the big chair" it works out to about min wage warm body post.

Whats up? Are you gonna be "analyzing" that Bubba gonna be coming in late because he left is radio playing on night in his pick-up, again?

    Default Ah, Craig's List plagarism...

What's up is the typical Craig's List "Make it sound better than it is." Microsoft refers to their internal security specialists (both IT and physical) as "Global Security Whatever." I suspect what this company did was rip off a Microsoft want ad and adjust it accordingly.

I don't remember the specifics, but the last time Microsoft advertised for positions in their own security devision (both stateside and overseas) none of the postions started under $45,000 a year.

I should clarify that MS uses contract security companies for the main campus and some of the Gates family private security / bodyguard functions, so so-called "security" jobs for that company vary greatly in pay scale depending on who actually issues the paycheck.

Bwa-ha-ha! It's an alarm monitoring job. Like calling a garbage man a sanitation engineer.

"Mr. Smith, we have an alarm signal coming from your house. Is everything all right?"

"Hell no, it's not all right. I've been stabbed, and they're murdering my wife and raping my dog as we speak! Send help!"

"I'm going on lunch break right now, Mr. Smith, but I promise I'll get after that the minute I get back. Hang in there!"

LMAO! That's what helped me to decide where NOT to work before. If the job poster is incomprehensible, how good can the work environment be?
