Default how about some "leader" post some Security Training youtubes on subjects like MOAB,

various emergency procedures, etc to share their wisdom and gives all sorts of Warm Body guards an excuse to bring laptops to their posts.

    "I'm getting more training, boss".

I've seen this sort of thing happen in real life for wide range of other subjects whenever semi-serious students, tradesmen or hobbyists gather, including fields with a lot more liability issues than "private security".

I think this is an awesome idea! I have been doing some research on the web and youtube and I can't find anywhere to get MOAB training.

Maybe we could convince "SecTrainer" on this thread to do some sorta videos:

Default Real Security Training to Learn on Your Own

There are two sites I'll mention that you might find helpful to do some self-directed training. This is information on a wider array of topics than just MOAB training.

The first is the FEMA Independent Study Program (ISP) at "training.fema.gov/IS/". There are about 160 different courses so you should find something relevant to your work. Look for the header "Total Active Courses." Click on it to get a course list. Each of these courses can be completed in 1-3 hours and upon successful completion of the course final exam, you receive a certificate of completion. This is useful because you have something you can list on your resume. I've completed 12 courses in the past few weeks including; Workplace Violence Awareness Training, Active Shooter: What You Can Do, and Surveillance Awareness: What You Can Do. I mention these three because they fit a wide variety of job duties security officers run into.

The second is the youtube.com site. If you have spent any time on youtube, you already know that if you can think of a topic, somebody has posted a video of it. Search for a topic like MOAB or verbal judo, the technique used by my employer. You will find some useful information. There are also books written on each of these topics that you can buy or maybe check out through your public library. Other topics on youtube you might find helpful are; handcuffing, baton use, self defense, J turns and slalom driving (security driving), combat pistol, combat shotgun, and on and on.

The only cost for either of these is your time. That seems to be a real good deal for the quality of the information.

I'm gonna use FEMA's "adversarial surveillance" against my target subjects to hone my surveillance skillz. LOL.

Don't worry, their course is pretty lame IMO.

Looks like someone with no real knownedge about anything was told to invent a job for themselves and spent a few months putting together a nice slick, but vapid, course.

IS-914 – Surveillance Awareness: What You Can Do
    Course Welcome

The purpose of this course is to make critical infrastructure employees and service providers aware of actions they can take to detect and report suspicious activities associated with adversarial surveillance.

To achieve this goal, the course provides an overview of surveillance activities and the indicators associated with them as well as the actions that employees and service providers can take to report potential surveillance incidents.

    Course Objectives

At the end of this course, you should be able to:

Identify potential targets of adversarial surveillance.
Describe the information obtained by surveillance that is of interest to adversaries.
Recognize indicators of surveillance within the everyday environment.
Identify actions that you can take to detect potential adversarial surveillance incidents.
Describe the importance of identifying and reporting suspicious activities associated with adversarial surveillance.
Specify actions you can take to report potential incidents of adversarial surveillance.

Sounds like the DHS SAR Course

My company has an online library of various training modules, while some simple and common sense there are a few useful ones.

Squid, the FEMA Security Awareness, Workplace Violence and Counter-Surveillance independent study courses were meant to be short courses that government agencies and critical infrastructure (which is mostly private sector) alike could give to the average employee. They weren't meant to be anything more then a primer if you will. To plant the seed of security awareness in the minds of employees. Just like the "If you see something, say something" campaigns. The private sector has a lot of opportunities to receive quality training and information from various government agencies from DHS/FEMA to the FBI, to state and local agencies for private security staff.
