I've been saying any guard should have Smart Phone with STREAMING video uploading to secure webbased off site location, preferably with at least two 'view splitters' so when someone sneaks behind him that is caught.

Even just for 'he said/she said' situations, by the time that is 'over' you have already forgotten to turn on your device most of the time.

yeah......nothing beats sending a photo to a boss or client rather than waiting for the paperwork to catch up...

I'm thinking of guards own personal, legal and 'professional' protection.

Personal: I'd want bad guys to know even if they smash the smart-phone, it most likely sent some nice pics via wireless to a server which in turn will alert dispatch when signal is cut, so police will be coming with their personal/vehicle descriptions. FUD for bad guys.

Legal: I'd want proof of what was said and who hit who first in other situations.

Professional: I've heard too many lies told about guards, sometimes it may be wrong guard getting blamed, but sometimes it is just lying because guard enforced parking regs on them or something.

I have to agree with your thinking...
